"These are the days of our great lament. The land thirsts.
A great plague infests our corrupt Congress.
They say that strife has made us weak.
That we have become empty.
They say that we rot.
But, we are strong. We are a people of destiny."

Hmmmmmm, so a defacto “exit poll” by Fox has Hussein up by only 1%? Satan is cowering in fear...

That makes me feel much better. So does the post that said when Clinton beat Bush, Sr. and Dole, it wasn’t by much. I can remember knowing full well prior to those elections that Clinton would win. No one was even hinting at a loss for him.

These polls make no sense.

Reading about these polls makes even less sense.

No, I am not reading past this first response.

Honestly some of the internals in polls like this really should give us hope, as they make NO SENSE IMO. Read below.

Obama leads McCain by 50-43 percent among women. Al Gore won women by 11 percentage points and John Kerry won them by 3 points. White women back McCain 52-40 percent. In 2000, white women backed Bush by a razor-thin 1 point margin and by 11-points in 2004.

Among men, Obama leads by 50-43 percent. Bush won men by 11 points in both 2000 and 2004. And while McCain is favored among white men by 5 points, that is a much narrower margin than Bush’s 25-point win among this group in 2004.

McCain narrowly leads Obama, 49-44 percent, among white Catholics. And married women, another key-voting group, go 48-44 percent for McCain. In 2004, Bush won white Catholics by 13 points and married women by 11 points.

Obama’s lead among those who say they have already voted has almost disappeared. He has a 1-point edge — just 48-47 percent — in this latest poll, down from a 52-43 percent lead previously (Oct 28-29).

“Obama appears poised to win the popular vote on the message of change that has underpinned his candidacy from the beginning. Although highly unlikely given the greater enthusiasm among Obama supporters, the one plausible path to victory for McCain would be much higher turnout among white men than anyone is anticipating, and much lower turnout among newly registered voters,” says Opinion Dynamics Corporation Vice President Chris Anderson.

_________________________

This is why if you look at the INTERNALS of this poll and compare them to 2004 and traditional voting patterns you can see the garbage in, garbage out resulsts.

I believe this poll is GOOD NEWS, we are WINNING.

48 to 47: are they oversampling democrats in the already voted poll... they might just be doing it.

It's quite possible that we're actually ahead in the already voted poll. The only poll that matters is election day!

I’m hoping for the best, prepared for the worst. That said, I read this poll as a tie due to the oversampling of RATS. I say no way will they have a 7 pct point advantage over us on turnout. Maybe three pct points. That would give Obama 46. I don’t think he will get as much of the undecided vote as McCain.

Sabato thinks Obama will lose a point or two over race. We’ll see.

Regarding polls ask yourself this simple question:

They are all using these bizarre models like democrats 44, republicans 37.

Why won’t they take 2 minutes to ALSO show you a simulated result using the turnout model of 2004 which was 37D 37R?????????? Why? Why are they showing Dems turning out 20% More than 2004, the big turnout year for the revenge of the “stolen” election of 2000? D’s we’re motivated like never before we were told!!

Now they’re going to tell us Republican turnout will increase 00000% and democrats will turn out 20% more??????

It’s not weighted SEVEN percent towards dems, it’s weighted TWENTY PERCENT MORE DEMS as a percentage.

Are you starting to get it??

The states polls are what needs to be posted.

Spread the word to all those coal swing states, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico, and Virginia.

Obama will bankrupt coal companies - Official calls comments 'unbelievable'...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2122918/posts?q=1&;page=71#71

What Obama's plans are for the coal industry--- “So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can,” Obama said. “It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.”

Doesn’t matter what any national polls say now — too late — it’s all about state-by-state polls now. Forget the nationals

This is the one that is totally unbelievable. Hell, Hillary kicked his butt among whites. And the idea that Obama is leading among men and only down by 5 among white men is unbelievable. If that were the case, this would be historic. To me this is a red flag that undercuts the credibility of this polling. White men are the second largest voting group behind white women. If these figures are wrong, so is the whole poll.

Exactly, it shows the whole poll is bogus, PROPAGANDA artist know 95% of people only read the headline.

Yeah sure, Obama, the metrosexual communist will swing the male vote 18% in one election cycle against the Navy Fighter Pilot who survived 5 1/2 years in a communist POW camp.

McCain wins, however,

“Nancy Pelosi remains Speaker of the House. Small children who have an incapacitating fear of clowns must wait at least another two years before touring our nation’s capital.”
