The undemocratic caucuses are a terrible way to choose a presidential candidate.

Huckabee takes a morning run in Des Moines, IowaIt is quite astonishing to see with what deadpan and neutral a tone our press and television report the open corruption—and the flagrantly anti-democratic character—of the Iowa caucuses. It’s not enough that we have to read of inducements openly offered to potential supporters—I almost said “voters”—even if these mini-bribes only take the form of “platters of sandwiches” and “novelty items” (I am quoting from Sunday’s New York Times). It’s also that campaign aides are showing up at Iowan homes “with DVD’s that [explain] how the caucuses work.” Nobody needs a DVD to understand one-person-one-vote, a level playing field, and a secret ballot. The DVD and the other gifts and goodies (Sen. Barack Obama is promising free baby-sitting on Thursday) are required precisely because none of those conditions applies in Iowa. In a genuine democratic process, these Tammany tactics would long ago have been declared illegal. But this is not a democratic process, and besides, as my old friend Michael Kinsley used to say about Washington, the scandal is never about what’s illegal. It’s about what’s legal.

They are miserable, abused libs as well as abortion surviving kids... no time to explain, but it’s deep.
Why did I make it? It’s not a post-war syndrome... but a small window. The women. I’ve slutted around like a man, even got rid of my kids so I could party some more... why can’t I find a good man? I’m a guy who’s irresponsible, i’ve paid or not/or didn’t care re: abortions, not convenient, can’t be tied down, I have no example of what a man represents (ditto for the women), why do I do it... could it be a hate women, am I gay? Who cares, everything goes. Neither the boys or girls have examples. In the black community it’s two generations. The guys watch rappers as examples (shakes head), the girls never had that dad, which is a huge difference. Both groups are looking for something... they don’t know what exactly, they don’t know what to be or do if they find it. They are godless, hence they don’t have a moral foundation. Hence they hate all authority, they’re taught PC and nothing’s wrong per se. History and citizenship are not taught, some teachers and the media tell them what a horrible country they live in.
RUSH YOU ARE DOWNPLAYING THIS TOO MUCH. IF MC HAD SENSE HE WOULD HAVE DISPLAYED MANY RUSSIANS, POLES, JEWS AND CHRISTIANS/ORTHODOX THAT HAVE SUFFERED UNDER COMMUNISM/SOCIALISM.
I HAVE TALKED TO OVER FIFTY THAT LIVE HERE, SCARED TO DEATH AT WHAT THEY’RE SEEING. FROM NURSING HOMES, WORK, TO ON THE BUS AND TRAINS.
