MARIETTA, Ohio (CNN) Campaigning in coal country just two days before the presidential election, Sarah Palin is highlighting an interview Barack Obama gave to the San Francisco Chronicle in January in which the Democrat suggested coal plants would be bankrupted by his cap-and-trade proposal.
Audio of Obamas comments began bubbling up on major conservative blogs over the last 24 hours, and Palin wondered why voters were only now hearing about the remarks. The insinuation that the Chronicle had been hiding the coal comments from the public brought about shouts of Liberal media! from the crowd.
Why is the audio tape just now surfacing?, Palin asked. This interview was given to San Francisco folks many, many months ago. You should have known about this, so that you would have better decision-making information as you go into the voting booth.

It'd take 10 years to get a nuke plant up and running or more. Natural gas is out of the question as they won't let you drill for it in the US.
If the comments are months old then why didn’t Obama-Ayers-Annenberg Foundation’s Fact Check . Ogre find them when groups were exposing the lies said during the debates? Joe Biden said Obama-Biden was FOR coal.
Every one of those industries you mentioned is unionized. The union heads are supporting zerO over the card check, envisioning piles of dues money coming in from.................who? All those union workers will be without jobs, not just laid off, but jobless as their industries contract and plants/mines/hospitals are forced to close or go to 3rd world levels of operation. How will they pay any union dues without a paycheck? The government can’t force anyone to keep the doors open.
I have been trying to remember what everyone *knows*: that “economies are constructed “from the bottom up”. I cannot recall when this was. It certainly won’t be now or in the future, as those on the *bottom*, the real workers, will have no place to work.
These fools think *the government* will actually send them checks. One $500 check/per non-taxpayer will cover a few months of residential electricity, if folks conserve. It does nothing to provide energy for industry or business.
Don’t know why or how the tape surfaced, but reading the January 7 San Francisco Chronicle there is no mention of the “Death to Coal” Comment. Kinda looks like the Chron spiked those ideas to squelch knowledge of the Messiah!
Less than 2 months in the winter here in Memphis, for a 3,800 sq ft house. Ditto for the very hot summer months. You die from heat stroke or freeze to death under obambi.
They did not explain that while the tape had been available for months, the included Chronicle news story about the interview did not include the information about bankrupting the coal industry. The printed story did not give anyone a reason to listen to the tape.
CNN is in the tank for Obama.
And who can forget these other oldie but goodies?
What? Because it's "months-old" it doesn't count???
Gimme a break, already!
Where’s the dang link to Sarah’s rally today!!!!
Somebody!!!!????
I read the comments with the story and they are frightening. I find it hard to believe so many people can be so completely stupid.
