My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.
Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

McCain really shouldn’t be wasting his time with this garbage. All those nitwit left-winger’s have already voted, probably more than once, for Obama. Plus, why would he be on when an a-hole like Affleck is on? They should have gotten Kelsey Grammar to host....

They should have gotten Kelsey Grammar to host....I'd love to see that, but Kelsey's health is still a bit shaky.

I didn’t know Kelsey was ill...... :-(
I’m the biggest “Frasier” fan. He is such a great actor.
I’d love to see him on SNL maybe doing a spoof of the show.
Now would have been a good time as well since he’s been promoting his new movie.

I didnt know Kelsey was ill...... :-(He had a very bad heart attack at his home in Hawaii in the spring. He coded in the ER twice and they had to defibrillate him. Then in New York a few months later he was admitted to the hospital for a few days after having some arrhythmia. If you catch him on TV, you'll see a very noticeable weight loss.

Isnt Lorne Michaels a GOP supporter?I don't think he is, but he did have good things to say about Gov. Palin's political and people skills.

I don't think he is, but he did have good things to say about Gov. Palin's political and people skills. No wonder Lorne found her refreshing. He has to deal with the likes of Alec Baldwin on a regular basis.

Shes the secret. Nows the time. Agreed. Sarah should be getting prime time. Lots of it.
Speaking of exposure, where's Michelle Obama been? Holed up in a closet? If half the people who intend to vote for Barry were to get a closer look at Michelle, they'd go the other way.

Ditto's...I hate seeing an adult that what's to lead this country on SNL. We have families suffering over the lost of son's and daughter's and they are are yuppin’ it up trying to get a few liberal votes....makes me sick!

I guess I ought to have tuned in; I just don't believe in going out and looking for ridicule and hatred to be thrown at you.
Having said that, I'm sure it was probably helpful in the long run. Glad she did a good job. (I love Sarah dearly, she's the only reason I'm voting for McCain.)

I don’t know about that. McCain never let Palin appear on Jay Leno, Letterman, MTP, Face the Nation, or Fox News Sunday.
I don’t think McCain trusts Palin enough to let her go on those shows.
McCain’s handlers have really been messing up Palin’s media appearances. Gross incompetence there.

Please forgive me if I don’t watch SNL tonight. I never have found it funny . . just very broad humor. You can always watch the highlights (if any) on the youtube tomorrow.

She really did impress the cast; even Tina Fey praised her personality.
Sarah has a long, bright future, regardless of what happens Tuesday.
