Lee Admits He 'Made A Mistake' In Early Job
Buffalo News ^ | 11/1/08 | Matt Spina

Congressional candidate Chris Lee acknowledged Friday that he was fired from Ingram Micro years ago because he "made a mistake." Sources familiar with the mistake say he hacked into a company computer for personal gain.

Lee was a young salesman with Ingram Micro, a computer products distributor that in 1989 was known as Ingram Micro D and operated from offices on Elmwood Avenue.

Lee, according to his co-workers at the time, somehow obtained a company credit manager's password. Then, with that password, he raised the credit limits for some of his customers and the customers of other sales people, the employees said.

That way Lee could sell the customers more of the company's products, on credit, before the billing system would flag their accounts for payment and halt further purchases....

You’d think that by “spreading the wealth around” he’d get the Lib/Rat vote?

I’m from WNY. He’s not in my Congressional district... I’m in Brian Higgins’ district, whom I sure will win in a landslide (Dem). I don’t think this story about Lee will hurt him. He was walloping Kryzan in the polls as of yesterday.

The thing about being a Republican nowadays is that you’ve got to be squeaky clean without ANY questionable activities or “irregularities” in one’s background.

Only Democrats can be arrested in a bed containing a dead girl and a live boy, then survive politically to run for public office and win.

I’m not impressed with Higgins. Honestly, what has he done? He takes credit for the minute development on the waterfront... I’m voting for Humiston, even though he’ll have a tough time. I’ve met him and he seems like he has it on the ball. But in this very Democratic area, he’ll probably have very little chance of winning.

Higgins is Hillarys lapdog. I’m voting almost straight Rep. Only Dem that gets my vote is Sedita. I had jury duty ( murder trial) and was very impressed with him.

Thats very true. I have a tough time here when a Rep. gets caught doing anything wrong. I’m the only Rep. in my barking moonbat family .......but it doesn’t stop me from emailing them. ;)

This is a bit off topic. I live just outside of Buffalo. I work in the building that houses Democrat headquarters in Erie County. Hillary gave a short speech in the atrium the other day. I listened for a few minutes. There were probably three hundred or so in attendance. She trotted out a couple of anti-Bush remarks while I was there. The audience responded, but without great enthusiasm. She mouthed a few pleasantries for Obama. There was applause, but it seemed a bit subdued. The event was less crowded and less enthusiastic than I would have expected.

Today I drove to Niagara Falls (my home town) for a haircut. For grins I decided to keep a tally of the McCain yard signs versus the Obama. Here’s the odd thing: I saw plenty of local election signs, but not a single Obama or McCain sign along the entire twenty mile route through commercial, farm, and residential areas—not even a single Obama sign in the downtown section of Niagara Falls.

My barber has a largely Democrat clientele (it’s a very blue town). I was the last customer today. We chatted about the election. I unloaded my conservative perspective on him. He told me he thought Obama would win, but he also told me that a large majority of his customers were voting McCain. His customers include several city and county level big wig Democrat party officials. Over the years I have seen and heard them in his shop singing the praises of Hillary. He wouldn’t name names, but I got the impression at least one of them was not voting Obama. As I left he said, “Maybe we’ll get lucky on Tuesday and McCain will win.”

Two weeks ago one of my work friends, a fifty-plus woman who has been a staunch Democrat her entire life, asked me how to change her party affiliation. She and her husband are furious with the Democrat contribution to the financial meltdown. They aren’t at all happy with the possibility of their 401k’s being raided. Yesterday she was deriding Obama’s remarks regarding “selfishness”.

Maybe I’m looking at things a bit too optimistically, but these are a few of the encouraging telltales I’m seeing in the heart of a blue state.

Fwiw.

Was guilt established and the terms of the subsequent punishment met? If so, Lee, now being “rehabilitated”, should get some Dimocrat support don’t you think?
