I helped my mom (lack of caps denotes mother-in-law who treats me like a daughter) do her absentee ballot yesterday. I explained how to do the one party thing, and showed all the other ways (by each individual) she could vote. She then said “Well, wouldn’t it be easier to just vote for one party?” I said yes. Then she said “Well, where’s the Republican one?” So I showed her, and after she said she couldn’t finish filling in the circle, I finished it for her.

I am so proud of myself for not just saying “Well, Mom, here’s where you make your circle!” (She’s vision impaired)...but I wanted to! And I’m so glad she voted for my girl Sarah, oh, and John too!

Oops, just realized I was wearing my McCain/Palin badge...but we were at the township office, not a polling place, so I was ok, right??
