Springsteen just came on stage.
Okay, everyone. I’m home and safe in my red county (the #4 county in the nation in which to raise a family according to Forbes Magazine — sorry, I know, I know. LOL. I won’t mention that again). Here is my final report to my fellow Freepers: :-)
When I left work, I decided to step outside of my office building and listen to “the one” for a few moments to see how motivated I and the crowd would be. I stayed on the outskirts of the rally.
IMO, the crowd was not a good size at all. Nearly everyone from the Browns game went straight home, hardly any people at all joined the rally.
Springsteen performed about 1/2 dozens songs. He didn’t get very political at all. IMO, where I was standing, the crowd was not “pumped up” at all; they were rather quiet.
BHO came on stage. I listened to him for about 20 minutes before leaving. It was the same old thing, “the past 8 years... failed policies of Bush... — the same thing you hear at his rallies. IMO, there was little energy from either BHO or the crowd.
IMO, it was a disappointing rally — don’t get the opposite impression from what you see in the news.
