A massive shift in younger and older voters is roiling the presidential race according to new data from the Fox News/Opinion Dynamics Poll concluded Oct. 28-29. Younger voters under 45 once Obama's base, now are evenly divided between the two candidates. But voters over 65 have shifted sharply to the Democrat in the past week.
Voters under 45 supported Obama by 52-38 in the Fox News poll of Oct. 21-22. But this week's survey indicates that they now break evenly with 45 percent supporting Obama and 46 percent backing McCain. On the other hand, voters 65 and over, who had backed Obama by 46-42 last week have now shifted decisively in his favor and he now leads McCain among seniors by 54-39. Middle-age voters aged 45-64 are largely unchanged in their views. Last week they backed Obama by 48-40, and this week they still support him by 48-43.

Palin Effect
Not good news at all, if it is true. We all know that old people vote, young people don’t. Good things polls don’t mean a thing.
My 21,22 and 26 yo sons have always been McCain supporters. My eldest is in the Marines so he is surrounded by (R)....My other two are in college and have brought a few students over to the McCain side of life.
Older voters are also more likely to refuse/hang up on pollsters.
Older voters are more likely to fear a black man. Ask BHO about his granny.
Older voters are more likely to trust the older candidate.
The story seems counterintuitive to me. Unless they’re successfully scaring the sh!t out of the old people again; saying that McCain will take away their Social Security.
MOLON LABE
5 votes for McCain/Palin in this household.
Should probably read:

Aren’t you proud of them? There is a difference between young conservative women and liberal women. They just seem to have higher standards for themselves and think beyond the next party or trip to the mall.
I think that young Republican voters are more reliable than young Dem voters. It takes a special committment to be a young Republican in the current education system. There simply is too much peer pressure to be anti-establichment (Dem). Additionally young Republicans are usually better students, home schooled, better behaved and more disciplined...they are easier to get to the polls.
The young Dem voters seem to be more dis-establishment, less disciplined and less prepared. I suspect many are "stoned slackers" and will have a hard time getting to the polls on Tuesday unless there is a "free high" as a reward.
Please tell your son we thank him for his service.
I just watched this video. It’s awesome and includes some of the great moments in history with the U.S. Marines.

Is Obama a legal citizen?
I don’t believe this for a minute. Older people aren’t stupid, they are the ones with the savings which are invested in the stock market, real estate, and other areas. They would be fools to vote for Obama. He plans to tax everything they have accrued and probably like his Dem predecessor, retroactively. Add to that the health care he is promising which will be the final nail in the coffin of Medicare. Any elderly person who votes for him has a death wish.
Thank you for raising such fine young people.
My 25 year old son - serving in the Navy and stationed in Japan - sent in his vote for McCain a week ago.
The elderly do not want their wealth seized... opinion dynamics... when were they EVER correct?

Best FRegards,
Hey Osage Orange:
Are either of your lovely daughters available? My son’s young lady friend, whom he was sorta/kinda courting long distance, found out he was a conservative Republican and he voted for McCain. Apparently that caused a bit of strife among the two of them. She was not happy said she couldn’t believe it and it changed how she viewed him. He was quite surprised at this but decided to cut his losses and he’s going to make sure the next young lady is aware of his political views before they date. He’s hoping to find a nice conservative young lady. :-) lol!
