Of course he was born in Hawaii. What they are not saying is that the original certificate was sealed and a new one was issued under the name Barry Soetoro at the time of his adoption. Also, he lost his US citizenship when he became an Indonesian citizen.
Even if the other contents were confidential, I would hope that at least his name and the country of birth would be considered public record. So why not at least acknowledge whether those things are as claimed?

Well actually I thought this was rather interesting. It is obvious that it is Obama’s attempt to make the birth certificate problem go away.
It is interesting that:
1. He thinks we are stupid enough to buy this.
2. That he and or his campaign would come up with something so lane and unprofessional.
3. And, I will bet that MSNBC etc. will report on this tomorrow and let it be known to all that “Whew this problem has been solved, now lets move on.”
Now if there is something else you would like me to research, bring it on, I love to research.
They need to put up or shut up.

I have THREE true, legitimate, fully legal and accurate birth certificates - all issued by different authorities, and with very different information on them. And in addition, I have a “Certificate of Citizenship” issued by a different authority, attesting to the oath of citizenship I took years later, that validated my derivative citizenship as of my original date of birth in 1939.
I was born in St. Mary’s Hospital in London, England, to two American citizens. A few days after we left the hospital, my parents registered my birth with the American Embassy and received a Consular Certificate of Birth for me, containing similar information but with more details about my parents.
We left England just a few months later due to the war, and eventually settled in California, where my brother was born in 1945. My Father died in 1947, and my Mother re-married about two years later. A few years after that, my stepfather adopted my brother and me. Each of us received a new California “Delayed Certificate Of Birth” with our new names, but original dates of birth. And my brother also had his original California birth certificate SEALED, such that he no longer had any access to it. In fact, when he needed documentation of his birth, he asked me to execute an affidavit for that purpose.
Of course, California would have done the same for me IF they had access and control over my birth certificate(s) - but of course they did not, and I can still obtain certified copies of all of them.
I believe that B.O. (Barack Obama) is really B.S.(Barry Soetoro) and that his American citizenship was involuntarily (but not unconditionally) surrendered by his mother when he was adopted by his step-dad. He COULD have reclaimed it, by taking an oath of citizenship like I did after attaining majority, but no record of such an action has been presented.
In fact, There is some evidence that he might have applied for an Indonesian passport after his age 18, because he traveled to Pakistan at a time when he could not have done so on an American passport! Obtaining an Indonesian passport would require a positive claim of Indonesian citizenship, which would terminate his potential claim to American citizenship by birth location or parentage.
All of this was part of the case presented by Berg in his lawsuit, and I can personally attest to several parts of the process that B.O. would be subject to. And given these questions, I believe that ALL of them ought to be settled by appropriate investigation and documentation. Without the documentation, he should withdraw from the contest.
Hey come on give me a break. This IS something new, and I thought it was so outrageous it would provide a little comic relief. Please don’t call me a troll. It would be good to read a few things people have written before you go making an attack like that.
Yea, looking up things on the auntie deal is how I ran across this new thing on the birth certificate. And I think you are right, surely this will tank him.

Is the birth certificate real or is it a forgery inserted by a Dem operative?
Only allowing people to examine it will answer that question.
The birth certificate is meaningless anyway. When I adopted my two oldest kids, the State of Georgia was prepared to issue them birth certificates showing Ga as their birthplace. I insisted on their birthplaces being shown correctly as the UK, so they were issued Certificates of Foreign Birth instead.
Had I not insisted on accuracy, either of them would have been eligible to run for President when they became of age.
Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
Which means that
1)He could have been born in a foreign country since Hawaii will issue a birth certificate to some one born in another country but adopted in Hawaii
2)Any Name or number of names can be on his vault copies of his original and any other sealed amended versions
3)he still isn't necessarily a natural born citizen since Hawaii won't allow those records to be accessed to prove he is.
The use of finely worded legalese here is telling, Obama is still hiding something that would cost him the election if it got out, and Hawaii is playing word games in the pursuit of fairness.
“Citing her statutory authority to oversee and maintain Hawaii’s vital records, Fukino said she has “personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. “
Well, that still doesn’t answer the question of where he was born. She’s just covering herself.
She means the birth certificate that was filed there eight days after his birth in Kenya -- that's "the original" that she is referring to.
Oh and what about the non-original "amended" birth certificate filed after his adoption by Lolo??? Is that there too in accordance to state policies and procedures, or what???
Oh yeh, and by the way, does she also have Maya's "original" birth certificate as well, you know, the one that was filed there in Hawaii after her birth in Jakarta, Indonesia???
Her parsing legalese needs some work. Let's let her work on it under oath in a court of law --
