No, Bush has many more accomplishments than you do— which as far as I understand them are zero.

He successfully defended this ungrateful nation from further terror attacks.

He liberated 50 million people from some of the worst forms of government known in the present time. He removed from power noted mass killer Charles Taylor of Liberia responsible for 250,000 deaths in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Bus enacted massive tax cuts that spurred the nation from the Clinton recession and WTC attacks toward economic growth. he appointed two excellent justices to the court including a new chief justice.

He has conducted himself honorably and not reduced himself to the level of his opponents.

His critics including you never take personal responsibilty.

The payback to Bush from his conservative base in 2006 has been an unmitigated disaster.

It did not bring a Duncan Hunter or conservative reformer to the top of the Presidential ticket. It brought John McCain.

Governor Palin is the same kind of good Republican we need but she is predictably being knifed in the back just like President Bush.

The Democratic congress put in place by Bush reactionaries on the right and left allowed Congress to continue blocks on drilling which Bush was deftly able to defeat alone. The Democratic congress put in by these reactionaries fell to an approval in the single digits and ignited the worst financial crisis in at least 20 years.

In my own mind, I cannot actually think of a person who actually is fighting for the American public except President Bush. I meet lots of people here and in academia who have a perfect idea of how things should be but not one has impressed me as either an advocate themselves or some stand in that matches president Bush in resolve and character.

I could list many more accomplishments that are extraordinary but you do not care. You despise Bush and you will not turn. A man is known by his enemies. Bush is a good man and a great President.

“No, Bush has many more accomplishments than you do— which as far as I understand them are zero.”

Since you have no idea who I am that is absurd. Besides, I haven’t had the temerity to run for President and claim to be functioning as the same.

“He successfully defended this ungrateful nation from further terror attacks.”

True - but a miracle considering the army of illegals he has allowed to invade our country. There are enouogh of them here to form a large army - all they need is organization and weapons. And you can thank the American public for keeping him from outsourcing our port security to an Arab Country - Dubai.

“He liberated 50 million people from some of the worst forms of government known in the present time. He removed from power noted mass killer Charles Taylor of Liberia responsible for 250,000 deaths in Liberia and Sierra Leone.”

I know about Saddam - American security demanded we intervene and I supported and approved of his actions there. As for Liberia, what does that mean to me and the American citizens who footed the bill? AFrica is a basket case of homicidal, genocidal dictatorships. One more or less is irrelevant except in so far as it impacts America. And I don’t believe Liberia does. He’s supposed to be President of America, not of the world.

“He has conducted himself honorably and not reduced himself to the level of his opponents.”

REALLY??? Talk to Ramos and Compean about that “honorable” part. Maybe you should review his trade dealings with Red China and Mexico.

“Bus enacted massive tax cuts that spurred the nation from the Clinton recession and WTC attacks toward economic growth. “

Agreed.

“he appointed two excellent justices to the court including a new chief justice.”

He appointed ONE conservative Justice - Roberts - and had to be strongarmed by the American Public and his own party into NOT appointing a family hack - Harriet Miers, and INTO appointing Alitto - a good conservative.

“His critics including you never take personal responsibilty.”

????? For what? Buch has and in the past DID have numerous critics on the right. I’m hardly alone.

“The payback to Bush from his conservative base in 2006 has been an unmitigated disaster.”

CORRECTION. The payback FROM Bush to his Conservative base AFTER he didn’t NEED us anymore - post re-election - has been catastrophic.

“It did not bring a Duncan Hunter or conservative reformer to the top of the Presidential ticket. It brought John McCain.”

Don’t blame me. I supported Hunter and contributed to his campaign. Hunter is hardly a cheer-leader for Bush. They differ on trade, the conduct of the war on terror and the solution to dealing with illegal invaders.

“Governor Palin is the same kind of good Republican we need but she is predictably being knifed in the back just like President Bush.”

Guess we agree on Palin, but I don’t think she is being knifed in the back - YET. THAT will come if McNutjob loses the election. And I hardly would connect Bush and Palin. Palin is a genuine conservative and she loves America. Bush is a naive one-worlder who wants to be President of the World, not of the U.S.

“The Democratic congress put in place by Bush reactionaries on the right and left allowed Congress to continue blocks on drilling which Bush was deftly able to defeat alone. “

HUH?????

Bush betrayed his conserevative base - not the other way around - which is why disgusted Republicans stayed away from the polls during the mid-terms. Bush, as bright as a rock - totally ignored it. As for “defeating” the Democrats in Congress on offshore drilling - check again. There was a Presidential order issued by Bush’s Daddy banning offshore drilling. Bush waited until AUGUST before lifting his Daddy’s ban. Well AFTER energy prices skyrocketed.

“I meet lots of people here and in academia who have a perfect idea of how things should be but not one has impressed me as either an advocate themselves or some stand in that matches president Bush in resolve and character.”

Drawing a comparison between Bush and the American Acadmic Community doesn’t hold much water for me. The are a bunch of naive or malevolent lunatics. Saying he is better than they are doesn’t amount ot a hill of beans.

“I could list many more accomplishments that are extraordinary but you do not care. You despise Bush and you will not turn. A man is known by his enemies. Bush is a good man and a great President.”

You sound like a good conservative to me. I am sorry my views on Bush irritate you. But I have had it with politicians - particularly Republican politicians who behave like liberals after we put them in office.

I think Bush and his Presidency will, in the long run, have to answer to history, not to me, for his accomplaishemnts or lack of same. In the final analysis, I think they will judge him to have been not particularly intelligent, well-intentioned, successful in foiling any further attacks on American soil despite his own incompetence, a very poor communicator, and man with extremely flawed ideas about world economy, national economy, and international relations - not to mention a man whose ability to judge his advisors was strongly compromised by personal realtionships.

I hope for our sakes and the sake of America McCain succeeds in defeating Obama. He’s hardly better than Bush and in many respects probably worse - but infinity better than the Islamic socialist running against him. And there is always the hope and prayer that Palin might succeed him.

By the way I agree with all the points in your webpage EXCEPT the last one.
