McCain: 'We're Coming Back!'
News Max ^ | October 31, 2008

With four days to the presidential election, Republican John McCain intensified his underdog message in must-win Ohio on Friday, trailing in the polls but promising "we're coming back" in the race against front-running Democrat Barack Obama.

Obama has opened his lead in the polls by relentlessly linking his opponent to the unpopular President George W. Bush, a fellow Republican who is heavily blamed for the U.S. financial crisis, and whom voters perceive as the better choice to turn around the economy.

There is still time to make a difference. Call every potential McCain voter you know, and make sure they’re voting, or have voted already.

Print a paragraph about how important GOTV is, and go through shopping center parking lots and put them under the wiper on McCain sticker cars.

Oh nonsense and balderdash.

We’re not that stupid as a people. George Bush is neither the anti-Christ nor the cause of this country’s evils or problems.

We know that the Democratic Party has become a disgusting manifestation of communism/socialism in this glorious country, that their ‘leadership’ have left messes that Republicans have been left to clean up...........for decades.

Time to take out the trash, people.

I’ve been talking to people all day and been giving out materials I had prepared.
All but one were voting McCain.
I live in Missouri (rural).
I believe Missouri will go McCain.

My best moment was when I talked to a black guy, a Christian, who didn’t know that Obama is pro-abortion.
Many other subjects were discussed. He took a CD home I had put together with 600 mb of youTube clips.
I think he will vote McCain.

I agree with everything you said.

However, while Bush II is neither the anti-Christ NOR the ONLY source of America’s problems, he is the elephant i the Parlour.

McCain has had the problems he is having for three reasons: the economy, his own candidacy, and George Bush II.

George Bush II has had the worst approval ratings of any President in rencet history - and he deserves them. His second term has been one betrayal of the conservative movement and Republican PArty after another. He has brought an onus of dislike for Republicans and conservatives from the average citizen for a entire series of idiotic actions which even eclipse those of his father, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.

His second term has been a catastrophe and he didn;t learn anything from the midterm losses. I doubt he is capable of learning anything. For a President, he is a very, very stupid man.

President Bush is one of the most extraordinary Presidents in American history. The fact that he is so hated is an indication of is character. Enemies define us. The people who hate Bush most lack character.

President Bush has done an incredible job of protecting this nation from further attacks. He has overcome the legacy of Vietnam like no other President and proven that this nation will stand and fight when challenged. That is a huge shift in the global perception of this previously known “Paper Tiger.”

He has not demonized or murdered his political opponents— a practice that is common in Russia, China, Venezuela, Cuba, Saudi Arabai. . . . . . .

That is primarily the cause of his low popularity. If Obama were to win— which he will not— the intimidation we see of Joe the Plumber will become a statist norm. People will be intimidated and destroyed for opposing the Obama regime. President Bush has not done this despite the most obscence claims against him— such as your post.

He is a man of incredible character. The fact that he encourages McCain to belittle him in order to win is a monumental indication of his strength.

I made the CD’s with ‘Real Player’. My local computer repair shop copied 100 CD’s for free when they heard that they were against Obama...
(I wanted to hire the shop and pay for it, but they insisted to help me for free.)

I found out meanwhile that some people can’t open the videos so I made a sticker to put on the CD sleeves that tells them they can go to ‘realplayer.com’ to download free software.
You learn as you go.

This is why I now also dislike him while I used to admire him very much. He LET the enemy defines him, conservatives, and Republicans. As I mentioned in another thread, Dubya seems to suffer from Martyr complex. He takes the beating from the Dims as accomplishments, without much effort to counter them. You can counter the enemy hard without killing them. Dubya only looks forward when history judges him better than today. As de facto leader of conservatism and Republicanism, he didn't do much to defend the movement nor the ideology that makes the movements. In same cases, he even seemed to resent them. As a result, now the whole movements got the blame, and Americans are in danger of electing the most leftist President ever.

Honestly, I think you have— and many maybe most conservatives do— have a weak rationalization for why you don’t defend this President. The nice thing in my own mind is that regardless of who wins, I think you will get clarity on how foolish you were to indict this man of great character. McCain is going to throw you under the bus so much you are going to be more familiar with the transmission than the seats on his straight talk express.

Bush took the hit on bailing out the banks. McCain could have gone either way on that and Bush would have accomodated him as he has throughout this election.

Here again I ask all the Bush bashers. Where has all the Bush bashing by McCain and Palin done any good for us. Why has it not sprung McCain more clearly into a lead? McCain and Palin agree that the economy is horrible— which it is not. McCain and Palin agree that Bush’s foreign policy is highly flawed— which it is not. All of these things are gifts of a man with character and wanting his friends to thrive at his expense.

This won’t have to last much longer and I have little doubt that history will vindicate him. History really has no choice. We will either live as free people aware of history or we will be radically subjugated under forms of fanatical statism that make history and meaningless concept.

Bush has won. He took the side of freedom at incredible cost.
