Too bad there’s nothing important going on that we have time to offended by a baseball player saying f*ck. It happens not less than 20 x 162 times per year in every MLB dugout. Grow up! The broadcaster is responsible to protect your sensibilities, bitch at them, not the player.

So little to do in fact that you have time to comment on someone commenting about someone dropping the F bomb. Hypocrisy, thy name is j_tull. Second, saying something in the dugout, which is a private area, devoid of children, is one thing. Saying it into a microphone, with thousands of children present, is tasteless, pathetic, a bad example, and harmful to our culture.

I'm not a baseball fan so all I know about him is that he dropped the f-bomb on TV.
What I now know about him is that he's immature, has a limited vocabulary and feels he's important enough to say whatever he wants because of his star status.
He's what they used to call a punk.
I wonder how very proud his parents are of him tonight?

Too bad theres nothing important going on that we have time to offended by a baseball player saying f*ck....The broadcaster is responsible to protect your sensibilities, bitch at them, not the player. What's going on in the world right now is the result of people who feel that they can do or say whatever they want and someone else will clean up the mess they've made.... or cover for them.

Once that word came flying out of his mouth, the whole atmosphere changed in that stadium. You could see the embarassment and disgust in Harry Kallas and all of the Phillies team. I kept thinking of all the little boys who played little league and hoped someday to reach the level of Chase Utley. What a disgrace this man was to this glorious day. How far should one go to gain the spotlight? I’m really sad. Once again, this could only happen in Philadelphia.
To: Huck
I'm sorry you felt the need to go KJV on me but I am still astounded by level of offense taken. If you think the dugout is a private place, you have obviously never sat in the good seats, and/or are a terrible lip reader. I don't like the language that gets broadcast anymore than you, and I don't care whether you believe that or not. What I am saying is that this country is on the verge of electing a guy who will someday drop the F bomb himself as President. Speaking of hypocrisy, if you really cared so much about the children, you would be offended that they are up at that hour, I am.

...parents will have to explain,... As a young boy, more years ago than I care to count, I inadvertantly let loose with the 'F' bomb while talking to my father. I stammered and choked and quickly apologized thinking I was in for a whuppin'. All my father said was, "If you didn't use it all the time, you wouldn't have slipped."

To: prolifefirst
Lighten up! It wasnt exactly tasteful, but these kids see worse watching TV when the parents arent paying attention. It is Philly (and I do live in the suburbs). They go to the Philly government schools, and lord knows what they are being taught. Besides, Utley is from Pasadena, Ca. Go Phils!!!!
