Obama, the videotape and informing the public (Times Whitewash; Sides with Obama over its Readers)
LA Times ^ | 10/31/2008 | LA Times' Reader Representative

Posted on 10/31/2008 3:17:27 PM PDT by mojito

Earlier this month, six months after the original story was published about Barack Obama's ties with Palestinians and Jews, people started calling and sending e-mails to the L.A. Times urging the paper to "release the video." A few notes became a flood of more than 15,000 e-mails by Wednesday morning calling the paper un-American, partisan and worse after Sen. John McCain's campaign accused The Times of "suppressing" a videotape.

The e-mails to The Times included links to an Oct. 25 blog post that said The Times was "hiding incriminating" information.

Most who called and e-mailed seemed not to have even read The Times' April news article that had brought the event in question to light, headlined "Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Barack Obama: They consider him receptive despite his clear support of Israel." The front-page piece when it was published drew some criticism from the left. But that reaction has been dwarfed by the number of page views and responses the story has drawn over the past five days. The article examined presidential candidate Obama's view of Middle East politics. It included a description of a gathering held in Chicago by local Arab Americans for Rashid Khalidi, described in the story as "an internationally known scholar, critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian rights." The story also said, "The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times."

My dog will not even pee on the LA Times anymore. Protecting the gross anti-American associations of Comrade Obama is the lowest form of treason on the planet.

Let us hope what readers the LAT and NYT have left bail on them, and they finally backslide into the tarpits that are filled with the bones of America’s enemies, who also had to lie and cheat to survive their last days....

What do they think they will gain? A Pres. Obama will not make reading the LATimes Mandatory.

Real reason, as I’ve said before, that the LAT won’t releaae the tape is that it will conclusively show they knowningly endorsed a raving anti-Semite for President.

I sure wish people would stop subscribing to these disinformation outlets. If anyone is still subscribing to the LA Times, or any other radical rag, I would urge you, and your friends & family, to stop. Hit ‘em where it hurts because they sure as heck don’t care about honest reporting of the news.

Washington Post said it had an 86 percent decline in third-quarter earnings compared with the SPLY.

The paper is sucking all the value out of the enterprise.

I suppose the LA Times is somewhere in the same trick bag.

Merchants beware, the pukes dragging these companies down are going to be lined up to get jobs running your cash registers.

RESIST THEM!

Lets all parade up and down the streets of LA...

NO JUSTICE - NO PEACE!!!

Or how about assembling a human chain across the shipping areas so their trucks can't get out?

The LA Times has to be brought down, its that simple.

What you are suggesting is a protest that would resemble the sort of thing those on the Left would do. We are the party of adults. Picketing is perfectly legal and a good way to bring attention to a cause.

The LA Times does not need to be “brought down”, they just need to realize that if they want to make money out of reporting the news, then it would behoove them to report the news and not withhold important news for the sake of their political agenda.

You know I understand your point about being adults, but to me McCain didn't really begin to move on Obama until some Adults attending his engagements began to let him know and understand their dissatisfaction...with passion. I have every confidence that “our” version of this display would be one without the egregious transgression of other people's rights and safety.

As one who grew up in Orange County and had to take the BS that the Times has pushed out for these many years, nothing would make me happier than to see a complete lack of customers for their “product” therefor leading to their downfall.

America needs a FREE PRESS, not a personal private watchdog press for the candidate of their choosing.

We both agree that the MSM is in the tank for Obama, and are using their supposed “news” outlets, to cherry-pick what they will report so that it benefits their chosen One.

And I agree that people need to have their voices heard. But I also believe that if our protestors were to block their trucks from getting out it would not only be against the law, it would also give ammunition to the LATimes and their cohorts in crime/slime to label us as kooks.

From Debbie Schlussel site (http://www.debbieschlussel.com/), we have the following:

“The evening’s “entertainment” consisted of young boys—some apparently as young as seven—simulating beheadings and shootings of other young boys who donned the American, Israeli, and British flags. Then they put red scarves over their heads to symbolize blood . . . and no head.

While I do not know if Sanabel AlQuds performed this particular “dance” for Barack and Michelle Obama and other guests at this dinner, I know that this was their performance in the summer of 2004, just a year after the dinner that is the subject of the videotape the Los Angeles Times will not release. It may be that this same “act” was performed for the Obamas, but that it was not part of the tape, which would be why L.A. Times plagiarist/”reporter” Peter Wallsten did not write about it.

Still, why is Barack Obama hanging out with young kids who simulate beheadings of Americans and Jews on a regular basis?”

Perhaps the LA Times tape shows this act and it also shows Obama cheeering it wildly. Can’t tell without the release of the tape.
