It's an Aunt from Kenya who lives in Boston and is destitute - and, it seems, illegal.His white grandmother who raised him lives in Hawaii.

His black granny in Kenya is being sequestered from the media until after the 4th.

Perhaps we read too many accounts, or perhaps several different meanings from the same article.
