What an awesome find. Who knows what else will be found at the site that dates to King David?

(IsraelNN.com)” Archaeologists have discovered what they say is the oldest Hebrew text ever found, at a site they believe was King David's front line fortress in the war against the people of Pleshet, also known as the Philistines. The site overlooks the Elah Valley, where the young David slew Goliath, the Philistine giant, with a well-aimed shot from a sling.”

Can’t be. King David was not an actual historical person. (Or wasn’t that the received wisdom of most scholars until recently?)

That is awesome, and what a refreshing diversion from what has been going on. Wow, that is incredible:)
I will jump back into the fire with a smile and remembering that my Lord reigns.

Why is there a Potter Barn (R) logo on the shard of clay?

Then said David to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” ~1 Samuel 17:45
Come to the Battle in the Name of the Lord, and fight as a child of the King!
