The courts are not going to change the test for standing -- and they should not, given that it is a conservative doctrine established by conservative members of SCOTUS in the seminal 1970s and 1980s cases on standing (which carried vituperative dissents from the most liberal of the liberal SCOTUS justices back then like Marshall and Brennan). The doctrine has kept many a moonbat out of court.

Also, the reason this hasn't gained any traction is what Vieira glosses over -- the so-called "doctored" copy of the birth certificate. More proof is needed than just a guy with a blog at townhall.com. Most people, if they are even aware of the issue, are going to stop at factcheck.org or Snopes and leave it at that.

Firstly, that’s not a birth certificate but a COLB and, secondly, even if it were genuine (which its been conclusively proven not to be) it wouldn’t actually prove anything because Hawaii permits the births of people born overseas to be registered there. He could quite easily have been born in Kenya and registered in Hawaii shortly thereafter.
