A growing number of voters have concluded that Senator John McCains running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, is not qualified to be vice president, weighing down the Republican ticket in the last days of the campaign, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
All told, 59 percent of voters surveyed said Ms. Palin was not prepared for the job, up nine percentage points since the beginning of the month. Nearly a third of voters polled said the vice-presidential selection would be a major factor influencing their vote for president, and those voters broadly favor Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee.
And in a possible indication that the choice of Ms. Palin has hurt Mr. McCains image, voters said they had much more confidence in Mr. Obama to pick qualified people for his administration than they did in Mr. McCain....
Over all, views of Ms. Palin were apparently shaped more by ideology and party than by gender. Ms. Palin was viewed as unprepared for the job by about 6 in 10 men and women alike. But 8 in 10 Democrats viewed her as unprepared, as well as more than 6 in 10 independents and 3 in 10 Republicans.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....those New York Times “journalists”....they are such jokers......BAAAWWWaaaahhhh....PALIN is the MOST qualified of ALL.....The emperor has NO CLOTHES!!!!!
She's had five chances to abort children and didn't do it once! She doesn't even wear sensible shoes! Sarah Palin just isn't right for AmericaThat's the funniest post I've read in a long, long time, FRiend!!! : )
Oh YES. I remember !
This is a sign that McCain and Palin are not really 11 points down. LOL. Satan has pollster with different numbers.
I always told my mom. You can tell you are doing something right when Satan is working so hard against you. I noticed a lot of crisis developed when I was working at a Christian radio station.
Millions are praying for our Sarah. They will never take her away from us, ever.
I have mostly liberal friends here on the west coast. Actually they are all liberal to be honest. And they BELIEVE this crap! When I press them “what exactly is it that you hate about Palin?” They actually regurgitate Olbermann’s and Maddow’s et al talking points! They are also geting a bit nervous but they are still overconfident because jerks like Chris Matthews are smirking at the tightening of the polls. Oh please God let them eat a giant crow.
Isn’t there a rule about posting New York Slimes articles?
Palinphobia.
I just ran the numbers and the only way to get to the result they’ve indicated is by oversampling dems by 15%.
Dems - 45% x .8 = 36
Pubs - 30% x .3 = 9
Indies-25% x .6 = 15
=60%
Right as I clicked on, and before I saw who posted this, I knew it was probably you.
You obviously do not like Governor Palin.
there are times I ask God why the terrorists didnt hit the NYT building instead...only the airplanes would be empty except for the rags that were flying them....
If this was mean and cold hearted..Bl*w me.....seen too many of my good friends die as a result of the misinformation, lies, and classified bunk they printed....
their employees should all be exectuted FOR TREASON..one by one...
to whom it may concern this is NOT a threat and I have no intention of doing any harm...these are my beliefs only (had to type this part out since I know freedom of speech applies only to liberal garbage who consider their “speech” art....so here is some more art for the NYT ...”F*CK YOU”)
Yep...there is a huge group of 1998 FReeper trolls here in my opinion.
Right, exactly right. You know, they call Bush the devil and so evil. What the hell is more evil than the press CHEERING for one candidate? I can’t believe this anymore. One thing that comforts me is that if Barry pulls this off we have already won a moral victory. I’m getting cautiously optimistic though. GO SARAH!
I would not like to know this negative stuff nor the possibility we have some long term sleeper trolls here.
I wonder how hard it would be to hijack an old time posters name, say somebody that has dropped out of FR but the name is still on Jims server, perhaps Jim should have some software that suspends a user name if not used for an extended amount of time.
Steve does seem to post discouraging articles. I have not spoken to a single person who wasn’t excited about Palin. I don’t speak to democrats. I know they exist, just not in my neck of Michigan.
Question: When was the last time the media hasn’t bashed a Republican VP nominee?
Did they love Cheney? (Darth Vader) Kemp? (Boring ex-jock) Quayle? (Idiot) Bush 1? (Elite whimp) Rockefeller/Danforth/? (crazy) Agnew? (crook)
But, the real idiot, Joe Biden gets a pass. Al Gore is brilliant. Blah, blah, blah...
What’s your problem?
I just reviewed about two years of your posting history.
Starting September 2, you’ve posted about a hundred anti-Palin threads in a row, after being absent from the forum for over a year. Before that, it was Bush-bashing threads.
I’m calling you out.
State who you support. For all to see.
Polls, Schmolls!
If you want to get some propaganda put in the mainstream media, all you have to do is come up with a poll that goes along with their agenda! I like to call it “propaganda posing as research.”
