Puma here. We are doing our best, but we are wondering where the Republicans are? Where happend to the Swiftboat ads? What is up with Colin Powell? Who was the idiot in the McCain camp releasing the info that Palin was going rogue? What are you doing to get out the vote? Mobilize the base? You guys pulled out the big cannons on Kerry, but the toughest ad I have seen on Obama was actually put out by the NRA, and I despise the NRA. I think most of us Pumas are still somewhat shell shocked that we would dare vote Republican. I suppose desperate times calls for desperate measures. And some of us won't vote McCain. Some are voting third party or not voting at all, or just not voting for the President but voting for all downticket Dems. In case McCain does pull this out, we want checks and balances. By the way, the Obamaphiles still think Pumas are a Republican front. What do you guys think?

I'm thinking that the McCain camp is trying not to scare you guys back into Obama's camp by coming on too strong.

He took a chance by choosing Palin but he needed to do that to bring back the GOP base or otherwise we'd stay home. And a lot of us would have because McCain ain't exactly our kind of Conservative.

That's the only thing I can think of.

No idiot in the McCain camp released info on Palin going rogue, that was made up out of whole cloth. You can tell by the "unnamed sources" they always use. As for the rest of it we are doing plenty to get out the vote and we will win. We can't speak for the swift boats or any other 527, but they are out there. We were hampered this time by McCain playing the good guy and taking public financing because he actually believed Bozo would do the same simply because Bozo gave his word.

Your question about where the GOP is is a good one...our party is run by idiots....Which why we have McCain, and why you have the congress back. I think fear of being labeled “racist” by the MSM, has held some of the GOP attacks back or toned down. RINOS want to be loved by the media. I live in a blue state, so I haven't really seen many adds,,except the local races. Getting the vote out in NY for McCain is pointless, so I've been working on family members in Indiana, and Florida. I've flipped my Mother in law to vote GOP for the first time since Ford. I've gotten a few fence sitters to go to McCain(really Sarah). The Obamunists think any body who Opposes Obama is a creation of Rove...Tell Karl we said hi. Thanks for your work, It's good to see country come before party. Of course if we win, we'll most likely be opponents in the next cycle, but maybe it can be more like a board game then a freaking war. The partisan divide in this country has to be fixed if the Republic is to survive. Maybe this is a good start. It's a shame what your party has become as of late, hope you adults can take it back. We Freepers know how that is. Take care and I hope the mods don't sick the Viking Kitties on you.

I am not sure how to respond to your post, actually.

But, I did notice that you say you despise the NRA. I do not know where you live, and that might be why you do not understand why some of us need to have a gun.

My husband and I are both elderly and disabled, and live in a rural area. It would take the local police at least 15 to 20 minutes to get to us if we called 911. We have a rifle and ammo, but I would really feel safer if we had a shotgun, because I am not sure I could hit an intruder with a rifle.

And, it is entirely possible that one could come our ways, for reasons I do not want to explain on a public forum.

We keep it in our bedroom closet, and hope we never have to use it. But, we do have a quick frontline defense to give us time to get it out and load it.

Two wonderful Belgian Malinois dogs, who will defend us with their lives, and we so hope it never comes to that, for we love them dearly. We do not belong to the NRA, but we appreciate them, for they stand up for our right to defend ourselves and our property.

You must realize that the police can’t do it all alone, be everywhere at once. We need to be able to defend ourselves in am emergency, even if we do not want the job.

You make great points. I have to hand to you guys, you know how to play hardball. Even the Swift Boat ads were done independently of the Bush campaign.

This leads me to ask... With so much there, why didn’t the Clintons take this guy out?

I am assuming you’re really a PUMA. If you are, thank you for your efforts. Many of us aren’t crazy about McCain either, for reasons I would presume are far different from yours, but I hope you will vote for him. You can have your crack at him in ‘12.
