Don't go looking for trouble where you don't already have it. I'm not convinced that we have a battle with the PUMAs - today or ever. Today we have something in common. We fear for our country and we resent the sleazy tactics and the un-American goals of Obama. Tomorrow? It wouldn't surprise me if the PUMA candidate of 2012 turned out to be Vice President Sarah Palin. We should listen to them with respect as they are listening to us, welcome them as partners not adversaries, and feel a little ashamed that PUMAs seem to be working harder for the GOP than the long-time GOP members.
I'm not holding a battle with them for later. I'm hoping we'll come out of this as a united force with similar goals and more similar experiences.
Look, I'm all for the PUMAS voting for whomever they wish.
The fact is that many will be supporting a Hillary run in 2012.
Hillary is a flawed candidate. Hillary is a Socialist/Marxist
Let's invite the PUMAS here and gently and genuinely expose them to the difference between liberalism and conservativism?
Let's just not get caught up in the Hillary would make a good president trap>
Honestly, from a lifelong Republican who has voted for dems a couple times on principle... it is refreshing to see that Senator Clinton’s people are also willing to act on principle for something so important. I know there is much made of ulterior motives, clearing the path for 2012 and what not, but in the here and now, PUMAs refused to drink Howard Dean’s Kool Ade and I will not forget it. I am impressed.
sw
I would support Hillary any of the day over the week over Obama.
I see no difference between them?
I agree! They are very well organized, and from what I see, their forums now mirror Freep. They have the same concerns and fears that we do. I read their forums, but, I have not registered, as I felt hypocritical for having not followed their plight through the primaries. They were screwed, period. But, they are NOT just we hate Obama, they are vocal about saving the future of our country. If we are on polar opposite sides in 2012, so be it. At least we can all rest well knowing we are all concerned about the future of this great country. (((HUGS))) for PUMA’s!!!
The day Palin was chosen I went to one of the PUMA sites and was amazed by the comments.
It was sorta like FR in 1998! Wild West and Raw as Hell!
THANK YOU, PUMAS!!!!!
Welcome to FR!
She is a smarter and better candidate than him. Ask Ann Coulter. He is a fraud, a charlatan.
Thank you but where did P U M A come from?
Welcme PUMA’s! I was also raised in a very blue collar democratic household. I came out of High school also during the Carter years and found my way to the republican party because of that. I think this year that even my DM will be voting republican. When I pointed out to her in 2004 that the Dems had been promising universal healthcare since 1968 and how much it would really cost. Then asked her if she’d ever been to a military hospital and if that is what she wanted healthcare to be like for all of us....her mind has been opened.
It may take a bit of work to make sure that socialism is never, ever raised by a presidential candidate, but with the media dead, our job will be a bit easier.
If we're on polar opposite sides in 2012 that means we'll be on polar opposite sides on Nov.6th 2008!
If these people are the New Reagan Democratsthen welcome.
If they only want to see Obama defeated to further they're agenda, be warned, Hillary is no day at the beach.
