Big assumption. After the Fairness Doctrine is put into place and talk radio is destroyed as a source of information and a voice for our side, and after ACORN ends up with lot of operatives in the FEC and Justice Dept., do you REALLY think that there will be even reasonably fair elections after Tuesday?
I have never feared a major party's Presidential candidate in my life - until now. He terrifies me, and the potential harm to our republic he and Reid/Pelosi and a stacked Court could wreak are incalculable.
My grandfather was born in Russia in the early 1900's. He ran from the Communists in 1923, leaving most of his family behind (and all of their wealth, except for the home they lived in, was confiscated for "the people"). My father grew up a proud American in the late '40s and early '50s. He once made some remark to my grandfather about how the USA was so powerful that it'd last forever - and grampa let him have it. He said, "My son, when I was a boy the Romanovs celebrated the 300th anniversary of their dynasty. My grandfather's grandfather's grandfather couldn't remember a time before the Romanovs ruled, and they ruled with an iron fist - they WERE forever. That is until 5 years later, when they all got shot and dumped down a well. Nothing is forever - and don't ever forget that."
Let's pray that McCain wins - because, if not, we may find out that my grandfather was right.
Actually, yes. There is no way that they can gain sufficient control of enough of the bureaucracy in the fedgov and all the states to accomplish their purpose in just two years, not without starting ARII.
