If people are nervous, they need to remember the Supreme Court decision this summer, which says the government cannot confiscate or ban guns," he said.

I may have been born at night but not last night.

The govt. doesn't have to ban any firearms, all they have to do is tax them and the ammunition beyond the means of any average citizen's ability to purchase them............

That being said, a super majority, a stacked Supreme Court and the Constitution is up for radical change........good bye 2nd Amendment.

And criminals only need to sell more drugs or break into one more home to get money to buy more ammo.

All of the laws punish law abiding citizens. Every one of them.

The ONLY way to eliminate the 2nd Amendment is by a Constitutional change, and given the requirement for passage by three-quarters of the state legislators, that is simply not going to happen. And I think if they try too much funny business in the courts, that the backlash in the next Congressional elections will be terrific.

But I still hope that McCain can pull this out by a squeaker, so we won't have to go through that.
