If you were a socialist, why wouldn’t you be proud of it?
Its not a mystery. He is, the people backing him are, and whether they know it or not, the people voting for him are.
Actually, a good case could be made that he’s fascist, which of course is just a subset of socialist, but of course that really would hurt their feelings. Its generally understood to be a pejorative. But technically speaking, he is. Both in the neutral meaning of the term, and its starting to look like he is even in the pejorative meaning as well.
