I saw that because I googled it, too, still wonder why the newspaper yanked it. I could still get to the comments with my history button. They were saying bad things about Palin's mothering style. A few defensive comments. Then mine heh but it was/is second to last.

The finance director had to approve them, and I did see that the kids have to be on state business, but why not an investigation then? It's only coming out now to trash Palin. Alaska laws are vague about travel.

All the finance director had to do was challenge them, deduct them from the settlement with a letter saying "denied", or report her to some ethics committee. That's why we have checks and balances for this sort of thing.
