My comment:
The LA Times is in possession of a tape that could prove embarrassing to the Obama campaign. The Times refuses to release the tape.

I'm going to make a deal: you release the tape, and I won't begin a campaign aimed at every one of your advertisers with a goal of convincing them that they risk half of their customer base by being associated with you.

If you think I'm joking or blowing smoke with what I'm suggesting, ask yourself 'When is the last time I heard anything about the Dixie Chicks?'

They, too, learned the power of an informed populace.

We live in a 50/50 country.

Do you want to lose half of your business by covering this up?

From another thread:

Please call and demand the release of the tape:

Activism ping, IncPen!
Just sent this:

Hi Mr. Stanton,
I just wanted to inform you that I strongly encourage you to release the complete tape of Senator Obama from 2003.
I’m sure you know the one.
I’m certain all of your current advertisers will appreciate it.

Sincerely,
...
