Yes Zell still owns the Trib and the Trib still owns the LA Times.
Calling Zell will do no good, he’s extra rich worth like 10B and would get killed if he sold the paper by taxes.
Funny situation, the Trib would prolly love to unload the Times which is already in the toilet but they cant affort to sell it because of the tax implications.
