McCAIN ON LARRY KING (A PRES. PALIN "WOULD INSPIRE USA")
Washington Post ^ | 10-29-08 | Elpiren

Posted on 10/29/2008 5:04:35 PM PDT by Wegotsarah.com

...[O]n CNN's "Larry King Live." King asked McCain how much confidence he would have in Palin if he had been elected president but was incommunicado over the Pacific during an attack on the United States.

"Total," the GOP presidential nominee replied.

"Total?" King asked.

"She has the instincts, she shares my world view," McCain explained. "She has -- look, I would remind you that there was a obscure governor from Arkansas, that not too many years ago -- that gained the presidency. And he had no national security experience. He would never match up, as much as I love Bush I, with him on national security. We had just won the Gulf War. Sarah Palin understands these issues. She understands them very well. And frankly, with a lot of conversations that I've had with her, she's incredibly quick study."

"So, there would be no question in your mind that she could take over?" King pressed.

"She not only would take over. She would inspire Americans. That's what I think she would do. She would unite the country in a time crisis," McCain said, and then interjected, "By the way, I don't like this comment about me being dying. You don't want to -- "

"I didn't say dying, I said you're over Pacific," King replied.

While McCain acknowledged Palin has been a controversial pick, he added, "I got to tell you, every time I'm around her, I'm uplifted. This is a solid, dedicated, reformer. A fine governor. The most popular governor in America. She ignites crowds in a way that -- I got to be honest with you -- and I'm not a immodest person. But, I haven't seen a candidate ignite people the way that Sarah Palin has."

I believe McCain when he says he has never seen anything like it before. Consider that he was around in the JFK era.

Palin is truly something special.

He needs to fire the RINOS, Converted Democrats and Romnites that make up his inner circle. They have done a HUGE disservice to Sarah Palin.

She is without question the finest national politician today. I am sorry to offend Jindal fans and he is fine young man but Sarah is just simply.. Sarah...Greatness!

Why in God’s name go on Larry King? I wonder if ol’ Larry will give McCain the same down the middle softball questions as he does with everyone else.

I suppose another positive is Larry King is one of the few people that could make McCain look young on TV.

Governor Sarah Palin is going to be the first female President of the United States. That is if America can somehow beat out Soros and the Communists from “winning” this election and destroying democracy in America. If we can’t, this may be the last time we “vote” in this country.

Sarah has my vote! My enthusiasm for McCain is lukewarm at best, but with Palin on the ticket I’m voting to ensure she has her foot in the door for the 2012 election.

Romney has nothing to do with McCain’s campaign. I honestly believe the two despise each other.

McCain’s resident RINO advisor is Lindsay Graham and his ilk.

what I don’t get is why McCain doesn’t use these questions to turn it around and say

“why are you asking me this question? Sarah Palin is a Governor. The one you need to address that question to is junior Senator Obama who has no accomplishments, never led people and has had little to no experience in doing much of anything. Have you asked this question of Senator Obama?”

doesn’t anyone on the team to have the senses to have McCain remind Larry and anyone who brings this up is she is way more qualified to be President then “the one” and he running for lead.

ALWAYS look to the left to be guilty of everything they complain about.

Has not BIDEN shown himself again and again to be a total jackass, a terrible VP candidate? He makes a fool of himself constantly.

Between Biden and Palin it is not even close.

Right. I’m not one of those looking ahead and thinking, well, it’s ok if Obama wins cause we’ll be back in 2012.

That’s unacceptable. Like you said, if this marxist wins we may never vote again in this country.

Obama needs to be defeated now or never.

This election is in jeopardy because of voter fraud. If Obama wins, there will never again be an election with any degree of legitimacy. Even by 2012, all will be in place in the courts to rule in favor of the Marxists. Voter fraud will be allowed to reign, giving the “democtrats” whatever they need, with no congress or judiciary having the interest to hold lawbreakers accountable - since virtually all fraud will be of benefit to the worldview of those very same congress people and judges. All opposition voices will have been essentially quieted.
