Then show the tape. Show everything they know about Obama. I would bet that it’s not to long before the Times is out of business if they keep this up. Is it really worth it to them?

I have to disagree. The tape includes something they don't want to report. It the source wanted to report some specific malfeasance of McCain's and there were five instances of different statements on the tape that were more damaging, we wouldn't be having this conversation. They would use the tape above and beyond the agreement with the source, because that is what they do.
They reported of the existence of “something” and offered up a teaser, that's it.
