The Times is now saying they can't release the tapes b/c they agreed to not release the tapes publicly. The deal was made w/ the party that gave them the tapes. I don't believe them, but, let's just say they're telling the truth.

Why not have a few parties from both sides come in & review the tapes & then release a transcript of the tapes. That way the Times is able to keep their “journalistic integrity”, ahem, by not releasing the tapes, & the truth of what's in these tapes can come out. There's obviously no deal about revealing the content of the tapes b/c the times revealed some of that content when they wrote the article in April.

If the Times really believes in journalistic integrity, they will do this. The odds of them doing this? 0%

Only problem is that it would be the Obama campaign that would be sure to out-bid everyone else.
