Without audio, the meaning is lost on someone who is not already familiar with Wright’s radicalism, racism, idiocy, etc. It could backfire on our side, looking like we object to colorful black religion.

I agree. It would be better for uninformed viewers if we heard him say it—and an appropriately shocking contrast with that sweet background music, too.
