Was Ayers’ book “Prairie Fire” dedicated to the assassin Sirhan Sirhan - killer of Robert Kennedy? I doubt older Catholics would be thrilled knowing this...
They should require all women about to abort their babies to watch this video.
You know the incidence of abortions amongst poor minorities is significantly higher than that of whites. With this knowledge, it is interesting to reflect on what Adolf Hitler said about abortions among non-Germanic peoples:
“They may use contraceptives or practice abortion—the more the better. In view of the large families of the native population, it could only suit us if girls and women there had as many abortions as possible. Active trade in contraceptives ought to be actually encouraged in the Eastern territories, as we could not possibly have the slightest interest in increasing the non-Germanic population.” (Harvest of Hate, 1954, pp. 273-4)
Hypocrites in the Democratic party! They claim to be so frustrated at still being in the minority, still suffering from oppression from “rich, white men” but encourage the mass slaughter of so many of their own race in the womb. Hitler understood that abortion kept the ‘undesirables’ numbers low. Where would minorities be, population-wise, in the US if they weren’t aborting their own babies en masse? It is unthinkable to speculate that there is some complicit, intent in all of this, but one does have to wonder what they’re thinking. It just defies logic...
So many things do in this world, the devil is out and having a grand ol time. So many will be joining his party down there by that campfire very soon I’m afraid.
most catholics take pride in not being fundamentalists (like the baptist) and probably resent voting with them...definitely an elitist air with most of them.. (Im catholic)
Please don't presume to speak for most Catholics when you say that. How fundamentalists vote has NOTHING to do with why I'm not voting for Obama, nor does it for any Catholic I know. You speak of Catholics with such disdain I have to wonder if you actually are one.
There is definitely an elitist attitude towards rural Fundamentalist Protestants by American Catholics. It isn't much different from the attitude of liberal "mainline" Protestants except that at least from the latter category the distaste is understandable. Catholicism is supposed to be more similar to Fundamentalism than to liberalism (since it believes in an objective truth that is available to man). Attacks on Fundamentalism by Catholics really make little sense, especially when it sounds exactly like liberal attacks on Catholicism.
While some of it is of theological origin I believe a great deal is from the "persecuted minority" mentality. "Persecuted minorities" seem to have an especial dislike of rural and Middle America. And some of it could be class-based, since most American Catholics are well-to-do and thus would look askance at shantytowns and trailer parks. But then this distaste is never applied to poor or ignorant Catholics, so it can't be classism per se.
Thank G-d! If more Catholics had Catholic and trailer-park relatives and in-laws much of this prejudice, on both sides, would probably melt.
The point I wish to reiterate, however, is that the prejudice against Fundamentalists that does exist among Roman Catholics is very strange considering the similarities in the two worldviews and the fact that Catholics have been victims of similar prejudice by liberals.
“Catholics” voting for pro-abortion politicians will have to answer to a higher power.
