Look at the lighting on his face. His is lit by overhead lighting - eveyone else is in the shadows.
But WHY would someone shop him into it?
The other black guy has overhead lighting too. Just the dark skin. I think they look odd because they are sitting down. Cool guy to his right though.
It's an obvious outside photo.....with obvious trees shading "some" of the future Jacoby's.
Some of them are in the shade, some are in more direct light.

I must say that when I initially looked at the photo I wondered if it was photoshopped. Hussein looks disproportionately and unnaturally larger than the other students. I just assumed it was his inflated ego.
The different lighting can be explained by the dappled lighting of the sun through tree branches. However, the guy to Obama’s right (our left) looks like his shoulders are being squeezed on both sides....but Obama is leaning forward, so that shoulder should be relaxed.
Dappled lighting from a tree overhead. The lighting is a bit odd, but is due to the time of day when the photo was shot and lack of fill lighting. Put the tinfoil away.
