I believe it still exists in the hearts and minds of about 85% of the citizens. It’s the libs in Congress and the media who want us to believe it doesn’t.
Only until next Tuesday if the people elect Barack Obama.
This is a very serious election. It really has been the last few elections. Demonrats and the stereotype that surrounds them are the enemy within. These are not good people who want a peaceful, fair election. It is surreal to watch the press, entertainment, schools be nothing more than propaganda for Demonrats and their assorted nutbags. This is deliberate and malicious. It’s criminal and I could see this coming to conflict because they will move right away to deny all dissent and honest ‘elections’. Look what they’re doing in Ohio!! These people need their own dose of anger and we had better be prepared what may be coming up in January with the inaugural and the radicals in charge. We will officially be dead if Obama gets the presidency. What a sad ending indeed.
I’m proud to be an American!!!!!
I hope you are right and I hope they show up in droves to vote for McCain.
Chickens are roosting and foxes are in hen houses all over this country this year..
Wouldn't that be great.....but not gonna happen. Too many are blinded by the Zero glitz to see reality through the fog.
The United STATES of America died with Abraham Lincoln. The national government that arose from its ashes is now breathing its last, replaced step-by-step with a “democratic socialist” state. Soon the last vestiges of the Constitution will be “precedented” out of existence by an activist Supreme Court. Read “Who Killed the Constitution” by Thomas Woods and Kevin Gutzman for “chapter and verse”.
The majority of Americans are center-right. It is the MSM and the radical left Dems that do not want us to belive so.
Great post and many good comments. I have asked this as well..and I believe much of the decline is due to liberal teachings in schools and colleges that has formed a generation of liberal youth. I also believe the churches, once known to be the moral compass now speak to soft issues and not the culture. This has had another impact. I also believe the fact many Americans are just not informed, watch sitcoms vs. news and don’t take action has resulted in just ‘we’ the remnant that really know the truth and care. On a brighter note, I believe God and prayer can restore us but if we commit to fighting on our knees as well as with our voices and votes.
Should McCain win, it can’t stop there. There needs to be a drastic repudiation of all the forces that have been leading us down this disastrous path. It starts with the media. They need to be called out, bankrupted, and reshaped so that people are no longer propagandized on a daily basis.
Is not the race getting closer?
Well then, those 85% had better get in gear and do some serious a@@ kicking, we're in trouble what with the mentality that I see displayed across the country. I for one, don't intend on turning my country over to these pigs without a fight.
Today's present 85% "Americans" must be about the wussiest on record, our Founding Fathers would be very proud--NOT.
Not far from where I live in Newton, Massachusetts, is the beautiful and historic Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
One of the best spots there is a hill that provides a spectacular view of the city of Boston, once known as the cradle of liberty.
At that spot are two very tall grave monuments dedicated to an evidently very well-known and accomplished individual who is buried there. The monuments sport lengthy chiseled epitaphs citing the man's accomplishments. Unfortunately, time has pretty much eroded the text, which some 150 years after their carving is now virtually unreadable.
To me, those monuments are a tragic metaphor for our nation. Conceived and established as a monument to human liberty, the underlying ideals and documents of its creation are now only distant memories, no longer readable or understandable by the vast majority of living Americans.
Does the United States of America Still Exist?
Only as the USSA.
Neatly put. Not to mention housewives with way too much time and money on their hands had nothing better to do than run around and enforce what Oprah tells them is right.
not the way it was when most of us grew up in her.
If 85% of Americans believe in the U.S., why do we have the congress and media that we have?
I think that Alexander Tytler had it right... A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations has been 200 years.
Sadly, this point may have been reached. We have hordes of multi-generational welfare reciepents living amongst us. We have hordes of non-productive people who are envious of the "rich". Our schools teach socialism and all kinds of other perversions.
If God smiles on us one more time, and McCain prevails, the task before us is to make the Republican party a real conservative party....otherwise we maybe should hire one of the welfare experts to show us the "ropes".
I don't know about you all, but I don't even know where to go to get something as simple as food stamps, let alone where to go to get free housing, a free car, a free t.v. and free clothing.
