scathing new line of attack on Barack Obamas tax plan at a rally here, citing an interview he gave as an Illinois state senator in 2001 as evidence that he favors socialist policies that fly in the face of the Constitution.
It was just the other day that a tape of an interview from 2001 turned up, and there he was talking about the need for quote 'redistributive change, Palin said. And Sen. Obama said thathe said that he regretted--he regretted that the Supreme Court hadn't been more radical and he described the court's refusal to take up the issues of redistribution of wealth as a tragedy and he said that he also regretted that the Supreme Court did not break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers there in the Constitution, that's a quote.
Palin said that voters have to ask themselves whether Obamaa former Constitutional law professorwould like to rewrite the Constitution and questioned what kinds of Supreme Court justices he would appoint.
Our opponents ideological commitment to spread the wealth aroundtaking more from youspreading it around, it's been tried in other societies, friends, Palin said. And the only things that ever spread were scarcity and poverty and bureaucracy and stifling the entrepreneurial spirit that made this country the greatest country on earth.
Palin next accused Obama of wanting judges to confiscate peoples property.
And let me remind Barack Obama of something else. When judges don't confiscate your property and your hard m-- all of your hard earned money and then redistribute that, he may call that a tragedy, but I call it fairness and adherence to our U.S. Constitution, she said.
Asked whether Palin was suggesting that Obama favors economic policies similar to those of Communist countries, Palins traveling press secretary Tracey Schmitt wrote in an email message, No she said what she said.
Also, McCain/Palin need to emphatically hammer the point that Obama’s “95% of workers will get a tax cut” b.s. is a lie and that everyone’s net paycheck will get smaller, as he fully intends to let the Bush taxcuts expire, therefore automatically increasing their payroll taxes. Yes, even those 95% of workers earning less than $250K/yr.
How does telling the press she said what she said indicate a dislike on the part of the press secretary?
Is that Obama @ 8 years old?
“She said what she said!”
Who’s “she”? And what did “she” say?
Ok, I see it now. You have to improve the title. It’s not coherent. JMHO...
Ha! Probably!
IMO, it was the perfect rebuttal to somebody trying to put words in Sarah's mouth to start something devisive.
He rocks! McCain should make him press secretary...or Secretary of Housing. :-)
Is this speech on YouTube? Link appreciated!
"When Obama says 'spread the wealth' he means 'spread your wallet' and fork over your cash so he can give it to someone who did not work for it"
I’m guessing that you are trying to make Alaska look like a socialist state with the “share the wealth” quote from Sarah.
In their State Constitution they stipulate that the natural resources of the State would belong to the State - and NOT the Federal government or private enterprise. So, unlike in most (all?) states where a mineral right can be bought by an oil company, it is the State that owns it - even if it is on Federal Land. BTW - the amount of Fed land in Alaska is almost equal to the entire state of Texas. And not just oil - but any natural resource (fish, minerals, timber, etc.)
The folks that agreed to becoming a state said fine, except we get to keep what is ours. The revenues from those natural resources go back to the people that own them in the form of schools, roads, and of course the annual check that each resident gets.
"One hot summer's day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. "Just the thing to quench my thirst," quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: "I am sure they are sour."It is easy to despise what you cannot get."
The Plymouth Colony might have met that model, except that people discovered that they needed the government to recognize private property if the colony was going to survive.
Did Gov. Palin write the constitution of Alaska, or play any role whatsoever in drafting the language which declares that the mineral resources are to be shared among the people?
If not, whether it is good or bad that the Alaskan constitution says what it does, I see no reason to fault Governor Palin for upholding it as she is presumably sworn to do.
haha...that should be the answer she always gives...’no, I said what I said.’
Socialism is the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism.
Socialism
noun
1. a political theory advocating state ownership of industry
2. an economic system based on state ownership of capital [ant: capitalism]
1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.
An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise.
All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.

The general tendency is to regard as socialistic any interference undertaken by society on behalf of the poor, . . . radical social reform which disturbs the present system of private property . . . The tendency of the present socialism is more and more to ally itself with the most advanced democracy. --Encyc. Brit.
Communism
Noun
1. a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
2. a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
-- Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006
A scheme of equalizing the social conditions of life; specifically, a scheme which contemplates the abolition of inequalities in the possession of property, as by distributing all wealth equally to all, or by holding all wealth in common for the equal use and advantage of all.
Note: At different times, and in different countries, various schemes pertaining to socialism in government and the conditions of domestic life, as well as in the distribution of wealth, have been called communism.
-- Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.
An economic and social system envisioned by the nineteenth-century German scholar Karl Marx. In theory, under communism, all means of production are owned in common, rather than by individuals (see Marxism and Marxism-Leninism). In practice, a single authoritarian party controls both the political and economic systems. In the twentieth century, communism was associated with the economic and political systems of China and the Soviet Union and of the satellites of the Soviet Union. (Compare capitalism and socialism.)

What do the Communists want you to believe is inevitable Communism or socialism?
If you study Marx' Communist Manifesto you will find that in essence Marx said the proletarian revolution would establish the SOCIALIST dictatorship of the proletariat. To achieve the SOCIALIST dictatorship of the proletariat, three things would have to be accomplished:
(I) The elimination of all right to private property;
(2) The dissolution of the family unit; and
(3) Destruction of what Marx referred to as the "opiate of the people," religion.
The drive to establish SOCIALISM is at the core of everything the Communists and the insiders do. Marx and all of his successors in the Communist movement have ordered their followers to work on building SOCIALISM. If you hear an official Communist speaker, he never mentions Communism. He will speak only of the struggle to complete the socialization of America. At a communist bookstore you will find all their literature pushes this theme. it does not call for the establishment of Communism but SOCIALISM.

"Personally, I'm in favor of democracy, which means that the central institutions of society have to be under popular control.
Now, under capitalism, we can't have democracy by definition. Capitalism is a system in which the central institutions of society are in principle under autocratic control."
-Noam Chomsky
"Democracy is indispensable to socialism."
"The goal of socialism is communism."
-Vladimir Lenin
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."
-Norman Thomas, six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate and one of the founders of the ACLU.
"I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control of those who produced the wealth: communism is the goal."
- Roger Baldwin, founder of the ACLU
She would have been more accurate if she had called him a communist!
