Not really, it was expected. Indiana is a big ethanol state, number 5 in the nation, and McCain opposes ethanol subsidies. He will win the state but not by the margin President Bush did.
We only need to win by 1 to take the EV's. It's a winner take all state.
I was wondering why McCain wasn’t way ahead in Indiana, and the ethanol factor explains a lot. I don’t always agree with McCain, but I have to respect him on opposing ethanol subsidies, because his position on this is better overall for the country even if it damages him politically in Iowa and a few other states.
