Very true. I’m in my late 20s and very conservative. As are most of my friends. I’ve actually been surprised to find out how many of my peers are voting for McCain (much has to do with Palin.) Granted, we are in the south, but I just don’t believe that all younger voters are Dems.
I’m in Ohio. Our town is heavily Republican, and so are our youth. We tend to pick conservative colleges, and if anything, our youth come home even more conservative than when they left.
There are lots of parents and college students who are turning up their noses at liberal universities, or finding their own conservative enclaves in public universities. The Christian groups tend to be Republican, and they’re exploding on campuses today.
My daughter and many of her friends are voting for the first time ever, at least 2 dozen that I’m aware of that will be voting for McCain/Palin, very pro-life, involved in church, will vote straight Republican ticket in fact.
