AMEN Chrimson Elephant. Shep made a negative remark about Saben coming to Alabama, and that along with his delivery style, and his need to be a stand-up comic, makes me tune him out. In fact, that’s why I watched Glenn. Roll Tide!

He said it’s traditional to let a few months lapse when you switch networks.

Good ol Shep should be cooking the chicken or sweeping the floor after the midnite closing. What a loser. Roger Ailes doesn’t make many mistakes but the sheepherd is sure one of them.

Shep is a big Rebel fan. That why the comment about Saban. Shep went to Ole' Miss.

No, CNN dropped his show as soon as he signed with Fox.

He's on at 5 now, so I won't be able to watch.

I think it’s not until this spring. I hope Fox ends up moving him to a more evening slot eventually.

I was wondering how long it would take to shoot him down.

It took seconds...

You should be so successful and have an audience and intelligence (and money) he has.

You make me ill.

Go ahead...call me paranoid...
But I can’t help but wonder if The Head Honchos of CNN decided that
the last thing they needed was to have Glenn Beck on CNN/Headline News
during the crucial last days of Election ‘08.

So that the top-dogs of CNN wouldn’t risk being DIS-invited to the
Limousine Liberal Cocktail parties in case The ObamaMessiah is
NOT elected to be President of The United States of America.

Glenn Beck

On October 16, 2008 it was announced that Glenn Beck would join the
Fox News Channel, leaving behind CNN’s Headline News. The new show
is set to begin in Spring 2009 and will air nightly at 5:00 PM Eastern time.

No irony intended. I don’t like Fox. The sensationalism became intolerable after they labeled FR a “hate site.” Screw them.

"Currently, Beck serves as the host of Glenn Beck, a talk show on CNN’s Headline News. . ."

No, he's not - not where I live, anyway. I live in Aurora, CO, and all I get is Lou Dobbs in Glenn's slot. I wondered why he was already off CNN if he's not going to be on FOX until spring. What's going on???

"He is far better than Shep Smith."

I'd rather have Shep than Geraldo -God! I wish they'd get rid of Geraldo! He has to be the WORST "commentator" I've ever seen! An absolute joke! WHY is FOX keeping him on????!

I don’t blame you for being paranoid...but let me explain...

Glenn has a contract- only during the “end” of the contract are you able to even discuss and negotiate moving to another network..

Glenn followed his contract, and signed onto FOX...

I bet you Glenn’s contract is not actually up until Spring of 09...

So— CNN still pays him the remainder on his contract, but pull his show...they are not bound to air his show, but are bound to pay him as long as Glenn does not break the contract...

in Glenn’s contract, I am sure he is not allowed to appear on any other networks...otherwise you would see him at least “contributing” and appearing on other networks...

CNN just yanked his show off the air- but he will lose the money they still owe him if he goes on TV before that contract is up...

FOX would have done the same with any of their main show personalities...

I really don’t understand why so many people dislike ol’ Shep. I’ve always thought he added a good sense of humor and still remained pretty evenhanded.

I thought the so-called “fairness doctrine” applied to radio broadcast, not cable news. I will concede that the ultra-liberal Obama-Pelosi-Reid trio could possibly extend it to all media.
