I think these guys are more attracted to European type socialism, the peasant style marxism from China and Cambiodia is not very realistic for USA given mass communication and freedom (and supreme court). I will agree with you that public schools do not, and should teach kids about Cambodia in 1970s, when Jimmy Carter was president, and never said a word in protest. It shows how much his passive resistance will get YOU.
