He is a doofus. Like, Ms. West was really interested in whether BOR approved of her interview techniques or not. Bill always inflates his importance. He's a legend in his own mind.

There's a certain common personality theme that I see in O'Reilly, Hannity and Shep Smith. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it is a sort of (unexpected at that level) blustering, defensive hubris, that causes them to demean and minimize some guests and callers you would think they'd get along with much better.

I figure it's something in the man who hired them all -- a trait he is soft too.

Hate BOR all you want but last two weeks ago he had Barney Fag, er, that is Frank, huffing and puffing and sputtering about the Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac debaucle. Definitly worth watching.
