Lessee, Bush won VA by 4-5%? And Obama is up 11%? A 16% swing. Uh huh.

I was just looking at that from RCP: Bush won VA in 2000 and 2004 by 8 points each time. Now someone further to the left than Gore or Kerry is up by 8? I just can't believe it.

Actually, I think Bush won Virginia by 9 points. It was 54-45, if I recall correctly. And in the mid-term election of 2006, with Jim Webb running as a conservative, with George Allen being torn to shreds over “macaca”, and with the GOP voters disheartened and unenthusiastic, Webb only won by a fraction of a point.

I thought Bush won in 2004 by 8% - 9%. Also, this poll is 5 days old, Zogby had O up 12% 5 days ago.

Bush won Colorado by 7 in 2004. However in 2006, Ritter (D) won with 55 percent despite being embroiled in an illegal alien controversy. Polling in Colorado shows a strong rat trend. I think Colorado may have gone left coast. I hope that I am wrong but the 2006 result suggests otherwise. The rats can do no wrong. No matter how clearly rat fingerprints are on the current economic mess, the public blames Bush.
