BOSTON (Reuters) - Authorities in Massachusetts are investigating a gun fair where an 8-year-old boy died after accidentally shooting himself in the head with an Uzi submachine gun while under adult supervision, police said on Monday.
Christopher Bizilj lost control of the weapon on Sunday at the Machine Gun Shoot & Firearms Expo at a sportsman's club in Westfield, a city about 96 miles west of the state capital Boston, police said.
He was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

What? I thought you were Commissioner of the Posting Police.
Sad...
Can now, works for me
An 8 year old boy can handle an “Uzi” with only with very close adult supervision. His hands and my hands would be on the weapon with only a few rounds in the magazine (no full mag).
This way, there is little chance the gun would walk rounds or slip during firing.
Poor kid....
Sounds like the real McCoy. As a kid, my dad had me shooting guns at an early age.......... but this sounds like a real class 3 weapon. How incredibly stupid for the adult to not have at least a hand on the gun.
Whoever was supervising that eight year old boy needs to have his head examined. He should have been behind him and SURE the boy could handle the recoil before letting the boy fire it. I do believe that accidents happen and that sometimes no one is at fault, but when a supervised eight year old shoots himself in the head from the recoil while a supervisor is standing there is too much even for me.
My God! I have friends in that town. I knew a guy there, the father of two young sons. They used to attend those machine-gun shows regularly, as I recall. I hope it was not one of his boys! Just watch... the gun-grabbers will have a field day with this tragedy.
What kind of adult allows an 8 year old to hold a loaded Uzi?
Something sounds horribly wrong. Forgive me for being suspicious, but this adult should be arrested for premeditated murder.
It was posted earlier on this thread but an AP article with no detail included.... Sad that an eight year old was killed.
