The Colorado native made millions after starting the publishing software giant Quark in the 1980's.

So how does this guy make his money now? Who pays him for what? Anyone know how we can hit him in the pocketbook or at least make his political life more difficult?

A list of the Gill Foundation's grantees makes for interesting reading. This guy has his tentacles everywhere. Most of his grants are from roughly $1,000 to $10,000, which allows him to spread his influence over a wider area.

Check out the pdf of his foundation's annual report at http://www.gillannualreport.org/downloads/gillannualreport_07.pdf/

I don’t know about Quark, but another guy who bankrolls the pro-gay movement (and gun control, etc) is David Bohnett.

He made his millions in the dot-com boom by starting geocities and selling it to Yahoo (giving him profits over $300 million).
