There is an interesting angle I’ve not thought of before. When children are adopted, it was the practice in the past to seal the original birth certificate (so even the child listed on it couldn’t see it) and generate a new birth certificate listing the adoptive parents. The idea was to protect the identity of the parents that were giving up custody.
So why does Obama’s COLB birth certificate list his father? Since he was adopted, shouldn’t it list his adoptive father (or at least not list his natural father)?
