HONOLULU, Hawaii – Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – WND has learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal, and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

Heck, she is a RINO, but she gave a good speech at the convention.

Perhaps her concern is that it IS legit, and will make us look like a bunch of idiots when it’s revealed that it is? She is not able to stop Obama from doing this at any time he chooses. But he hasn't for some reason. She can't seal it from him.

Lingle has spent many days to campaign for McCain/Palin, and faced criticism from local democrats for leaving the islands in the midst of economic crises. If she does this, there must have been a legal reason to do so.

She can't release it because doing so would be used against her. And since Obama is surrounded by a protective media, there's no way to demand that he release it.
