Let’s not forget Northeast PA. While the coal industry was most active up until the late 50’s, there are still untold reserves of coal still waiting to be mined. And while Western PA has soft coal, Northeast PA has hard Anthracite coal, which is a much more efficient source of energy. And to think that Biden mouthed off in Ohio that we wouldn’t be burning coal in the US with an Obama administration; Biden is FROM this region, and even lied by saying he was a “hard-coal miner, anthracite coal, Scranton, Pa.” Of course, having left the region at age 10, that in itself proves that he lied.

Add to that the fact that Scranton is Hillary Country, and there are a fair amount of voters that are pi$$ed that she didn’t get the nomination, and you have the potential recipe for the 2 “blue” counties (Luzerne and Lackawanna) to become “red”. Potentially, that could very well be the votes McCain needs to win PA.
