Many solid republicans left the NE when more liberal leaders were voted in. It became a self perpetuating cycle. We all live down south now :)

I love New England, but its getting so I can’t stand the political climate...I don’t broadcast my conservative beliefs, but if asked, I tell. You should see the look on some people’s faces when I try to politely explain why I’m a Republican and a conservative; from the twisted looks on some people’s faces, you’d think I was trying to justify the existence of NAMBLA or something like that. Geez!
With any luck, a year from now I’ll be in the sunny South, and away from all these Moonbats...

I like that, solid Republicans now live down south. Are the Bushes among the solid Republicans in Texas? They introduced the New World Order, the Hispanic Hordes, sold our industry to the third world, and led us into an endless war in the Islamic (religion of peace) lands to bolster their cronies' lucrative trade with despotic Arabs. You have to love W. His philosopher is Christ? How does Christ figure into leading a Nation to commit suicide?
