I agree with that comment, but think about the consequences if Bush had done it sooner-likely Pelosi would have tried to impeach him-violating war powers act or some such non sense.
If you’re not willing to attack the enemy where they are, then you have no business going to war.
Hopefully we’ve learned our lesson...never invade a country with one of your hands tied behind your back (and always be willing to destroy it completely).
