The Russians taught the world a trick or too, that way. Muy serioso stuff, some of those weirder and rarer isotopes. One of the reasons I worry about OUR nuke plant spent fuel pits. They can be breached without too much effort as far as I know, but my direct knowledge of them is now twenty plus years old, yet on a recent thread some fellow nuke hands posted a current assessment and while they thought it was all kosher, not me, not by my reading of it applied to the social dynamics of power plants and government regulation as I remember them -- and I know human nature hasn't changed. Viz: that we dilly-dally as a nation with a man as untested and also presumptively deeply psychologically damaged (by all accounts of his childhood and young-adulthood) to be our leader and most powerful man in all known creation.
