She made this key point a couple times about parts of Obama’s plan, with the emphasis on the last line:
“Our opponent is not being candid with you about his tax plans.
He’s hiding his real agenda of redistributing your hard-earned money.
He said he’s for a tax credit, which is when the government takes more of your money to give it away to someone else according to that politician’s priorities.”
He said hes for a tax credit, which is when the government takes more of your money to give it away to someone else according to that politicians priorities.
For some it works that way, if refundable. For others, it is just a lessening of the bill, the rest of which will be used to pay those who would not have paid anything anyway. Either way, it is a rip-off, because whomever redistributes the wealth gets a cut in the form of wages, jobs for their district, etc.
Which is why I am opposed ot the "rebate"/"prebate" part of the "Fair Tax", which is a low end redistributionist scheme.
It would cost less to just not tax the sectors the tax is being rebated for, (no matter how much a person uses) than it would cost to distribute the prebate.
