And while America will certainly survive, it will do so, in many respects, as a different place.I wish I had Mark Levin's optimism. In ordinary times, I might say we can survive socialists in full control of the executive and legislative branches. In fact, in ordinary times it might even serve the purpose of being instructional to young people that didn't experience the Carter years. But ...
- The economy is already reeling from government meddling. I think teetering on the precipice.
- The terrorist threat was never effectively crushed because the American people got cold feet midway through the battle. The terrorists still want American blood and voices of leadership have all but disappeared.
- Iran just months from developing a nuclear bomb. Israel's resolve seemingly tentative, waiting, maybe too long.
- Governments around the world and state governments domestically overextended themselves during the good years and now have no reserves to sustain them through the bad years.
- A media that seems to be vigorously competing for the best propagandist prize.
- Young people brought up on media marketing, video games, and a sense of entitlement instead of a healthy diet of history, science, and economics
- Add to all of this the perennial problems of food, oil, and water shortages. And we've got a tinderbox waiting to alight.
Sorry, I don't feel as good as Mark that America will survive.

As a 24 year old, avid video gamer, and a solid conservative, I think you need to find another scapegoat.

Ordinary times were before we had “sleeper cells” all around America. I don’t trust Obama’s intentions. These cells will probably serve a purpose for him.
America’s been dumbed down into an “American Idol” mentality. The idolatry of Obama has captivated half of our population.
Great column, Mark Levin.
