He says he’d appoint judges like Scalia and Alito....so my guess is yeah, in a way he has.

Doesn't the big thumb have to come from the Chief Umpire in Rome?

"No penumbras then eh...
Roe v. Wade was definitely a bad decision."

Well, 1.)He declared to Rick Warren that he is pro-life from the moment of conception. 2.) In the debate, he said that he does not apply a "litmus test" which he believes is wrong. that is grilling judges on how they would rule one way or anoter in hypothetical cases.

Joe Biden said in his debate that if he had not changed (as member or chairman of the judiciary committee) and started to apply the litmus test on justices and their ideology, then we would have a disaster such as Robert Bork. Bork would have been a "historical" figure as an SC judge. I don't think Biden is going to a good place if he doesn't repent...he doesn't even obey the Constitution on confirming justices. What a tool.

“we would have a disaster such as Robert Bork”

Though constantly smeared by the MSM Bork was an intelligent and consistent advocate of original intent.

That's precisely WHY they smeared him!

I really enjoy interviews with Robert Bork. In my opinion, though good, solid justices so far, Roberts and Alito do not come up to the standards of Robert Bork. That is why I used the term "historical" if he had been confirmed. He could have mind-melded the other lesser justices to his way of thinking or gave them brain aneurysm had they resisted.

He said during the last debate that he thought Roe v Wade was bad law and should not have been before the Supreme Court. McCain said it should be up to the individual states to decide the issue.

“Has McCain promised if elected to nominate Supreme Court justices opposed to abortion?”

LOL you’re funny. McCain is far from perfect but he has a strong pro-life record. He’s come out for life and against abortion.

Obama supports the killing of live born babies.

You may want to read through the comments of this thread since they contradict what you just stated.

Sucks when you stick your foot in your mouth like that.

LOL

I don't understand why those who support a pro-abortion candidate by vote or donations or time aren't excommunicated now. I have acquaintances who are very active in the Catholic Church and yet strongly and vocally support Obama. If Obama is elected it will be too late.

Is McCain writing on this thread? I thought your kind was mocking him for not being able to use a mouse, and now he’s a late night blogger.

Obama supports killing live born babies. He considers a baby punishment. He supports making abortion easier and forbidding women from even hearing about options other than abortion.

Sorry but I tend to avoid replying to morons and nutjobs. You seem to be a potent combo.

In any case, you're not making much sense and I asked a simple question which was answered earlier in the thread.

"McCain said it should be up to the individual states to decide the issue."

Well, I'm no judicial scholar, but IF Roe v Wade IS overturned by the S.C., will it not then go back to the individual states to decide their own laws regarding the legality of abortion or not? I've always thought that the Roe v Wade was the "Federalizing" of the abortion legality, whereas before, each state decided it's legality. Before Roe v Wade, I seem to remember people driving to other states where abortion was legal to get them... Am I incorrect? If not, then McCain answered correctly. If I understand correctly, as it is now, because of Roe v Wade, Virginia cannot ban or make abortions illegal...but if Roe v Wade is overturned, then Virginia decided it's own abortion law. As I said, I am no legal scholar.

I’m making perfect sense, what doesn’t make sense is why BO supports killing babies born alive.

You were not asking a simple question, you were attacking McCain and diverting the discussion because you didn’t like its direction.

We have two choices on Nov 4th, John McCain or Barack Obama. Choose your poison but don’t lie about McCain.

A friend of mine went to mass in a downtown Cols., OH church last Sunday. The Priest’s sermon was about abortion and how important it is to “vote pro-life.” She said it was an inspiring, emotional and dramatic sermon and you could hear a pin drop. He finally said, he must stop but remember to vote pro-life. It is a large downtown church and when he finished, everyone in the church jumped to their feet and the applause was deafening.

I don't know. Maybe you should go to a forum where Obama is center stage, instead I asked about McCain.

I know it's confusing but get back on the meds.
